Nestle Coffee Partners

For the 2023 holiday season, NCP requested Upshot agency to design Starbucks brand visuals for their seasonal drink lineup to be showcased in contracted independent coffee shops licensed to serve the brand. As an intern, I pitched three patterns and mockups.

My Direction

My goal was to create designs that are easily recognizable and consistent with Starbucks' official visual guidelines, while also being distinct and simple enough to avoid any confusion with the branding used in actual Starbucks stores.

Pattern #1

I created a cute bike pattern with pops of color on a brown paper background, inspired by Starbucks' use of illustration and the humble nature of small gift giving.

For my last 2 patterns, I experimented with a glittery, photo realistic, tinsel texture and geometric patterning that resembled argyle, ribbon, and the vague shape of gifts. These patterns are an abstraction of gifts boxes with a dash of art deco inspiration.
